Saint Patrick's Day event is held every year by Eko Hotels in one of their restaurants called LAGOS IRISH PUB. This restaurant is in touch with the Irish way of life as seen from the ambience and even the structure.
It is usually a three-day event where people come in to experience the Irish culture in Nigeria.
I and my team were saddled with the responsibility of handling the event's planning and social media campaign.
A special content calendar was created for the event which had everything from video and motion graphics to static posts. This calendar contained content for pre, during and post-event. It was centred around the GO GREEN THEME.
We believed social media influencers would influence both Gen Z and Millennials to be part of the event. We contacted Ay the comedian and Zikoko Mag. Who in turn brought an influx of people who were interested in the event. We also used paid advertisemen to bring more impressions which generated conversions.
The influencers were also encouraged to promote giveaways, complimentary drinks and rooms which excited the public.
